Automattic [WordPress] raise $29.5 million

Congrats to Matt and the WordPress team.  I’ve been using WP for a long time, and we will also be using for CommunityLend’s blog.  The idea of setting up and managing your own blog makes no sense nowadays, and WP is industry strength.

While we were chatting, he let it slip that Automattic had raised a whopping $29.5 million in a Series B Round of funding, including a strategic investment from The New York Times Co. Previous investors True Ventures, Polaris Ventures, and Radar Ventures also invested in this round.
